Plecti: Crete, 1327

Dublin Core

Title

Plecti: Crete, 1327

Subject

Plecti

Description

Plecti is not identified in her will according to father or husband, though she does have a son and a daughter. It is notable and unusual that she is not listed as a widow.

She testates while ill, and names as her executor her son Moyses. She leaves her dowry money to her daughter Cali. She also leaves her granddaughter Plecti (named after her) 30 hyperpera, and another 10 to her daughter Cali. Should Plecti die before marriage, that money should go to her mother Cali. The rest of her goods should go to her executor, her son Moyses. But if he predeceases his mother, the goods should devolve to Cali.
