Title
Belaere, wife of Lazaro Astru: Crete, 1511
Subject
Belaere, wife of Lazaro Astru
Description
Belaere's husband is listed as a "magister," a state-approved medical doctor, and more specifically as a surgeon (the level below physician). In the will, Belaere leaves a significant part of her estate to her daughter Bonadona, who had been married and divorced. Belaere has the notary record that this money could be used by Bonadona for a new marriage; but explicitly notes that should Bonadona prefer to stay single, she could use the inheritance unproblematically as she sees fit.
